DESCRIPTION & DETAILS
Alexander Marine are pleased to have AGAIN SOLD this 2001 Azzura 50 Classic Launch.
'Belle' was a timeless down east style motor yacht from the drawing board of naval architects Murray Burns & Andy Dovell. 'Belle' was built by the acclaimed Azzura shipyard - originally built for a notable yachtsman and prominent businessman. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in her exquisite timber finishes - inside and out - was a highlight of her outstanding build quality.
'Belle' boasted a spacious open cockpit area as you stepped off the teak-laid swim platform. Up one step you entered an extremely social bridge deck with a curved seating area and fixed high gloss timber table. The helm station was offset to starboard, with a centreline companionway down to the lower deck accommodation.
A forward-facing co-pilot or navigator's bench seat was located to port to keep the skipper company. The foredeck featured fully adjustable sun pads. The intention of the build was to create a timeless vessel albeit using the latest technology - to this extent, her Raymarine touch screen electronics were cleverly concealed when not in use underway.
Below decks, you would find a spacious haven including the forward master cabin featuring a double bed, spacious dinette with opposing lounge, galley, and guest cabin with two over and under single bunks. Her beautiful butterfly hatch above the saloon provided abundant light and airflow.
Again the joinery detail in this area of the boat was a highlight including the teak and holly flooring and timber planked walls. The labour intensity of the original build was very evident. 'Belle' was powered by well-maintained twin Yanmar diesels. Bow and Stern Thrusters offering easy maneuverability when docking.
