Having established a strong working relationship with our Australian Buyer, Alexander Marine embarked on an extensive global search for exactly the right yacht. Utilizing our industry contacts we located a suitable option, which was shed kept each winter, at which time one of our team members flew up to Europe to personally inspect the vessel which was kept in a remote part of Sweden. Contract negotiations were then completed, and on this occasion the buyer took the opportunity to look at the vessel for himself during the pre-purchase due diligence period Alexander Marine undertook to satisfy ourselves regarding the overall condition and desirability of the vessel. Next on the agenda was to coordinate the yacht’s passage south from Sweden down to the United Kingdom – crossing the English channel in the process - ready for settlement in international waters and in preparation for export down to Australia via container ship. The challenges associated with the northern hemisphere’s weather at this time of year were ever present! Another Alexander Marine team member met the boat on its arrival in the UK on behalf of our client, attended to settlement in International Waters and then coordinated the shipping preparation and booking process.
